Computer Training for Seniors
If you are older, using a computer can present special challenges. Terms like "reboot" and "IP address" may sound like a foreign language. Tech support people who are supposed to help you change settings and fix problems assume you know what they mean when they use words like "right-click" and "surfing" in odd ways. (Internet "surfing" is looking through Web sites the way you might browse books at a library.) Even if you have used a computer, you may need help seeing the words or moving around the screen.
Whether you want to buy and set up a new computer, learn how to use it, or make it easier to use, if you live near Raleigh, North Carolina, call ElderSurfers™ Computer Help. We explain things using plain English, take as much time as you need, and treat you with the respect you have earned through a life lived well. Some people have children or grandchildren nearby who can help them. For everyone else, there is ElderSurfers.
To learn more, move the pointer on your screen to the tabs (like those on file folders) in the purple section above. When it is on top of the tab you want to read, push your left mouse button ("click" it). As you read, any purple text in a white section (like "Contact Details") can be clicked as well.
